What do we do with your information?

Your information, whether public or private, will not be sold, exchanged, transferred, or given to any other company for any reason whatsoever, without your consent, other than for the express purpose of delivering the purchased product or service requested.

Any of the information we collect from you may be used in one of the following ways:

  • To contact you regarding your order and enquiries.
  • Process transactions: Without your information we will be unable to process and complete a transaction.
  • Keep a record of your purchasing and correspondence history.
  • Personalise your experience - your information helps us to better respond to your individual needs.
  • Notify you about changes to our service.
  • We may/will need to contact you or use your data in accordance with the following lawful reasons in line with General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR):

The lawful bases for processing are set out in Article 6 of the GDPR. At least one of these must apply whenever personal data is processed…

  1. Consent: the individual has given clear consent for you to process their personal data for a specific purpose.
  2. Contract: the processing is necessary for a contract you have with the individual, or because they have asked you to take specific steps before entering into a contract (a contract is a purchase/agreement).
  3. Legal obligation: the processing is necessary for you to comply with the law (not including contractual obligations).
  4. Vital interests: the processing is necessary to protect someone’s life.
  5. Public task: the processing is necessary for you to perform a task in the public interest or for your official functions, and the task or function has a clear basis in law.
  6. Legitimate interests: the processing is necessary for your legitimate interests or the legitimate interests of a third party unless there is a good reason to protect the individual’s personal data which overrides those legitimate interests. (This cannot apply if you are a public authority processing data to perform your official tasks.)

Marketing (consent and legitimate interests):

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) policy works in line with the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations policy (PECR).

It is within our legitimate interests and yours, 'as a customer', to send you marketing material (discounts, updates, newsletters, catalogues). With each method you will be provided with the easy option to OPT-OUT of these messages. You can also request us to update your preferences to which marketing method (Email or Post) you would prefer to receive or not.

For more information on electronic mail marketing to customers please see: https://ico.org.uk/for-organisations/guide-to-pecr/electronic-and-telephone-marketing/electronic-mail-marketing/

Plastor also offers prospects and other non-customers the option to opt-in to receive our marketing, such as Emails, Direct Mails, Catalogues, Newsletters and Special Offers. Prospects and other non-customers are NOT automatically entered into Plastor's marketing database without traceable consent or proof of a negotiation to buy. Given consent can be withdrawn (opt-out) by the individual at anytime and the delivery of marketing materials will cease. At times there may be marketing campaigns underway (a large direct mail campaign for example) which could potentially arrive after an opt-out request therefore please allow for 30 days on receipt of opt-out request until complete removal from our marketing database. In most instances removal will be instant, especially if unsubscribing from Email marketing. Please note, if you/persons unsubscribe when opting out of Plastor's Email marketing list it may be difficult for that very same Email address to be added at a later date should the you/they wish to opt-in again.
